Preparing a corporate video

1. Decide what the film is for

Start with one question: what should someone do after watching? Get in touch, apply for a job, trust your company? The answer decides who appears, how long the film is and where you’ll use it.

Also note where the film will live: your homepage, LinkedIn, a presentation or a trade fair. Then we make the right formats straight away, such as vertical for phones.

2. Choose your people

Real people make a film credible. Pick two or three colleagues who explain your business well, or a client who wants to talk about working with you.

Go through the questions in advance, but don’t write a script to read out. People who speak freely sound more natural. We guide everyone calmly during filming.

3. Get your location ready

Clear away what shouldn’t be in shot and choose places where the work is visible: the workshop, a meeting, a client being helped. Make sure machines are running or products are ready.

Mind the sound. A quiet room for interviews makes a big difference. Let us know in advance if there are busy or noisy times.

4. Plan the day

A shoot day usually lasts eight hours including setup. Schedule interviews early, while everyone is fresh, and atmosphere shots afterwards. Tell colleagues there will be filming and ask consent from everyone who is recognisable on camera.

Want photos for your site or job ads too? Plan them on the same day. It saves an extra appointment and the style matches.

5. After the shoot

Within a few working days you receive a first version. Review it with one or two people, not the whole company, and bundle the feedback. You have two feedback rounds; then we deliver every format.

No. We write the concept and script based on an intake call. You give feedback before we start filming.

Usually eight hours including setup and breakdown. For a shorter film half a day can be enough.
